The Cemetery property was owned by Thomas Firby of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and sold for five shillings on July 19, 1855, to the Trustees of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. The earliest known dates (1842) on a Marker are the children of Joseph & Hannah nee Medd Firby: Elizabeth Firby died Jan. 26, 1842 / AE 4 yrs 5 mo 27 d and Joseph Firby died Feb. 2, 1842 / AE 2 years 22 ds.
