From Jim Willis: First and only interments occurred c.1835 when 4 children (James, Thomas, Sarah & Mercy) of John F. & Esther (nee McDonald) June died of diptheria and were buried side by side outside of their home. The 4 gravesites are marked by 4 sturdy wooden crosses - painted white w/names of each child painted in black. Each cross is approx 30" in height and is made of 2" X 4" lumber with a strong steel post spike holding them in the ground. The home has long since disappeared and the area swallowed by the forest. However, members of the McDonald/MacDonald families have cared for and marked the graves ever since.
