HISTORY / ABOUT: Church (if this cemetery is affiliated with a church): Denomination: When established, first interment, where land orginated, etc: Township of Osprey published by the Osprey Historical Society: John Buckingham donated a plot of land in the 1850's. A log church was built. During the summer of 1891 work began on a new brick church. It was completed in the spring of 1892. Thomas Hawton who died May 3, 1892, was the last burial service performed from the log church. Last regular service was held in the autumn of 1952. Memorial services have been held occasionally since then and repairs made to the old brick church. A great disappointment was the theft of the church organ in April of 2001. Notes: The cemetery is cared for and the cedar trees have been cut down where they had encroached and overgrown some of the graves though there are still two stones within the trees. To get to the cemetery turn east at the intersection of County Road 2 and County Road 31. Cemetery is on the south side.
