Andrij and his parents, Mykyta and Warwara immigrated from Galicia, Austria in 1906. They arrived at Ellis Island, N.Y. headed for Winnipeg. They lived in Winnipeg for a few years and then settled in Rossdale, Manitoba in 1908. Andrij and Katyryna were married in Winnipeg, 1911. They raised 8 children in Rossdale.
