Jan 2008: 2007 was our 10th Anniversary year!! OntarioGenWeb debuted in 1997 and over the years we’ve been able to grow because of the support of volunteers and visitors just like you. Thank you for your continued patronage!

- I have been updating the obituary data base on a regularly. Helping direct inquiries and researching books of the area.
Apr 2008:
- Added an obituary section to the Cochrane GENWEB site. It connects visitors to some of the local papers online obit archives. The ones that do not have archives I am beginning to index and am placing them on as done.
- Updated broken links and cleaned up duplicate links.
Oct 2007:

The Grey County Ancestral Photo Queries page is to help identify old photos of past Grey County residents with the hope that others will recognize the images from their own photo albums with clues about any information on your ancestors and/or area from which they were in. Please visit this following link
Pictures of unknown people in your Grey County ancestors' photo collections or an old school classroom photo from the Grey County region are welcome for posting.

There are now 158 obits and a total of 1741 name references in the obits, complete with an index for each section.
Nov 2007:
The Grey County Ancestral Photo Queries page is a collection of old photos of past Grey County residents that need to be identified. Please visit the link to either view the series or to add pictures of a Grey County ancestor or an old school classroom photo from the area.
Oct 2007:
A new page has been added that lists the names of people mentioned in the obits. These include the deceased, their families, relatives, friends, pallbearers, Doctors and Pastors. All names can be easily browsed, rather than searched for, and are linked back to their respective obituaries. Currently, the 48 obits provide close to 600 name-references. Names listed more than once are in more than one obit, which helps to define the relationships between the obituaries.
